Mixed funds

Is a fund where the capital from the unitholders is invested in both interest-bearing bonds and stocks.

The distribution between stocks and interest-bearing bonds may vary between different mixed funds, and it may also vary over time with the same mixed fund. Logically, the risk and return will then be higher or lower depending on how many percentages of the capital are invested in equity funds or interest-bearing bonds

Mixed funds are usually divided into these groups:

  • International mixed funds have an international mandate.

  • A life cycle fund is a mixed fund where the portion which is an equity fund is reduced over time.
