Is a person who knows a company or an organization from the "inside". By the inside is meant, for example, board chairmen, general managers, friends or close acquaintances of those who run a company or an organization. In some contexts, this person may therefore know more than the "masses" about the operations of the company in question.
In certain situations, it may be illegal to trade in such "inside information". There may be situations where insiders are sitting on information that has not yet been sent to the market. It can be special information such as that a contract has been won, that the company has brought in partners or that a share issue is to be carried out.
